Around Town

North
Looking at the White House. In the early 1900's there were ball diamonds in the circle. The tree at the top of the circle is the National Christmas Tree.

East
Capitol. On either side of the grassy strip are all the Smithsonian museums.

South
The Jefferson Memorial and the Potomac river. Our apartment is at the end of the bridge on the right .

West
At the near end of this picture is the WWII Memorial and the far end is the Lincoln Memorial. In between is the Reflection Pool.

This past Sunday we got to go to the top of the Washington Monument. These pictures are looking out across the Washington DC area from each of the four directions.
